The Thai Government confirms Safe Travel After Earthquake
Following the earthquake that occurred on March 28, 2025, with its epicenter in Myanmar, which caused tremors in Thailand including Bangkok, we would like to assure all visitors that the situation has now returned to normal. All tourist attractions and businesses across Thailand remain unaffected and fully operational.
The Thai government has taken immediate action by conducting thorough inspections of buildings, public spaces, and transportation systems to ensure public safety. Tourists can continue their travels throughout Thailand with complete confidence.

Current Status as of March 29, 2025:
Transportation:
Bangkok City Travel:
- Services on the BTS Skytrain and long-distance routes resumed by the evening of March 28.
- The MRT Blue Line and Purple Line resumed operations on the morning of March 29, while the Pink Line and Yellow Line remain closed.
- The Red Line Mass Transit System (SRT Red Line) and the Airport Rail Link operate as usual.
Air Travel:
All Bangkok airports are operational. Suvarnabhumi Airport reports that all public transportation systems are fully functional.
Rail Travel:
The State Railway is now operating normally; all long-distance train services from Bangkok Grand Central Station have resumed. For information, contact the Customer Relations Information Center at 1690.
Road Travel:
Road travel in Bangkok is open; however, the Din Daeng Expressway is temporarily closed for structural safety inspections. Alternative routes are available, and bus services have increased.
Shopping Malls:
All major shopping malls, including Siam Paragon, CentralwOrld, ICONSIAM, and the Mall Group, are open as usual.
Events & Festivals:
All tourism-related services in Bangkok and its surrounding provinces, along with events such as the Maha Songkran World Water Festival, remain on schedule.
